Shipping invention awarded Nobel-diploma

SSG-GÖTEBORG. At the Scandinavian Technical Fair in Stockholm , the mobile oil recoverer CMI.OR was awarded a SKAPA diploma in memory of the inventor Alfred Nobel.

The diploma is awarded annually for the most significant Swedish innovations. CMI.OR was developed by Claes Olofsson, who is also a ship's master at Wallenius. All the ships in the Wallenius fleet are now being equipped with CMI.OR, which can be used in the event of oil spillage on board, clearing up oil spills ashore and non-chemical cleaning in e.g. engine rooms.
